The EE braggers thread!!!

Butcher them so they are of some good to you after feeding them for so long. On a positive note we will have EE chcks attaching again as. Well as OE and Marans and are close if you want new pullets after Jan 1.

We are actually oretty close to you! So if you could please keep me in mind for a few EE pullets & maybe an OE if you have any available...

My hubby agrees with you all about eating them. So I guess we are going to move them out of the coop & run with my girls and start fattening them up. lol... I guess I'll have to get at least 4 new babies to rename their given names since they are boys not girls. lol...

The worst story I heard was a woman's daughter was at the feed store and brought home like 40 chicks.... ALL ROOS! That had to be heart breaking. BUT on the bright side some good eats!

I would consider them easter eggers yes! I have hatched out a few from my EE Hen and Porcelain D'Uccle Roo and they hatch EE with a little feathering on there legs, some lose it as they mature some keep it.
All the chicks i have hatched from them grow up looking like an EE, the only thing is that they only have a 50/50 chance of laying either mothers egg color or daddies!

EE isn't a breed or a fancy word for "mutt", it's a designation for a bird that possesses the blue egg gene but isn't a recognized breed. SO, a chick would only be an EE if it had the blue egg gene. When you cross an EE with another breed, you'll likely get some EEs and some regular mutts.

I'll likely get some harrassment for this, but:oops:
Don't forget the pink eggs! Some EE's have pink eggs, pink inside their shell (I've read all the brown-egg debate) For me if it's pink outside, pink inside, then it's pink! Just a thought...

My pretty Ameraucana mix that someone told me is an Easter Egger (and has not laid an egg yet) has a watery eye. Three of my Buff Orpingtons have black spots on their faces. Do they all have the same thing? They are on tetracycline because the vet thinks it's a virus.
