The EE braggers thread!!!

Thank you both! So we can stay? Me and my 6 EE chickies and their 11 buddies? :D

I am worried about a few others of mine being boys too already, time will tell but I hope in the end I get more hens than Roos lol!!

Don't worry I had 6 Ameraucanas, 3 pullets 3 cockerels... One pullet died last week :(
now I only have 2 girls, and 3 boys! They all get alone well! (but they are only 12 weeks old)
Time will tell! (if one of the cocks are mean to any of the others, I promise I'll be eating chicken sooner than I planned

Sorry for your loss. I am already so in love with all 17 of my babies I know I will cry when I find out who is boys and rehome them. They are such cute funny little fuzzy butts! ;)

Kassaundra as soon as I read your post I went to look at my baby OEs and saw good size tails on two and a smaller one on the last chick that hatched two days later and has been smaller all around. She has a tail but it is small just like the rest of her.

OHH I see, sorry if I offended you by calling out your spelling lol (I have a few Ameraucanas and Ameraucana breeders are sensitive about their birds lol). But you spelled it correctly this time! Yeah most stores or hatcheries won't sell true ameraucanas! Only way to guarantee true Ameraucanas is by buying from a trusted breeder, usually found online (found on BYC). Or by taking pictures of their parents, posting them in the Ameraucana Forum thread then getting someone to verify the parenting birds are infact true amreaucanas. That being said, it's still hard for anyone to even call a bird a "true ameraucana" because the breed is still being perfected!

p.s. "spelt" = spelled
lol just had to harass ya! You are very well spoken and knowledgable for someone your age. I wish I had started learning about chickens when I was young, I would be a genius by now!! lol kidding. Keep up the good work!

Ha! You got me there! I become too informal while posting on forums that I begin to make up words

.
Thank you for your gratitude! I hope to carry out this hobby til I'm old and grey (sorry to all the elders here).
Raising animals, especially chickens, is unlike any other hobby out there! Caring for another life truly brings
a special sense of accomplishment! I'm glad there are so many of us here who enjoy raising chickens!

Well if you don't become too attached with all the boys, instead of relocating them to a new home, you could always eat a few

. That's just an idea! I know it seems hard too do, but imagine how delicious they'll taste!
