OHH I see, sorry if I offended you by calling out your spelling lol (I have a few Ameraucanas and Ameraucana breeders are sensitive about their birds lol). But you spelled it correctly this time! Yeah most stores or hatcheries won't sell true ameraucanas! Only way to guarantee true Ameraucanas is by buying from a trusted breeder, usually found online (found on BYC). Or by taking pictures of their parents, posting them in the Ameraucana Forum thread then getting someone to verify the parenting birds are infact true amreaucanas. That being said, it's still hard for anyone to even call a bird a "true ameraucana" because the breed is still being perfected!
Kassaundra as soon as I read your post I went to look at my baby OEs and saw good size tails on two and a smaller one on the last chick that hatched two days later and has been smaller all around. She has a tail but it is small just like the rest of her.![]()

Sorry for your loss. I am already so in love with all 17 of my babies I know I will cry when I find out who is boys and rehome them. They are such cute funny little fuzzy butts!![]()
