oh by the way all the chicks are from Lucy!!!

Your Pictures made me so happy to see....
Sorry for your loss I have one that looks kinda like your girl only more slender her color is the same as your girl, she still has time to fill out though, She is after all only a couple months old. Your Girl was Gorgeous and i hope my little gal becomes as beautiful as your Hen!

thank you for the link. That chick was really similar, mine had more grey and tan, so now i want to see even more....................... I can see what his sisters/brothers will be like though.

Isnt that cool that someone took the time to take those progressive shots and post them on the net!
I wish there were more progressive pictures of other breed of chickens.

For those like myself with "mystery mutts" it sure would be helpful in determining breed mixes.

Hello fellow EE owners. I came by to see if anyone has had any EE like the two I have (I'm sure someone has). I have two that I can only assume are hatch mates, got them the same time from a local guy who orders eggs from somewhere and incubates them. He does a high volume and I only assume gets the eggs sent to him. Any way, the two girls in question are very similar in color, but one has a single comb and green legs the other a pea comb and slate legs. My question is does the single comb automatically mean she will lay a brown egg? They are about 12 weeks old. Dottie the green legged, single comb Sunny, slate legs & pea comb

njchixs, yes that is a common EE color/pattern. As to the single comb question, from what I understand it is not 100% but pretty close.

Gideon is now just past 11 weeks old and crowing, if you can call it that. He has one red feather on his left shoulder and a hint of reddish color in the hackle area from his wheatenish-looking EE mama. His sire is my Delaware rooster, Isaac. Gideon's modified pea comb has a super prominent middle ridge, making it appear almost like a single with the points chopped off, but it's definitely a pea type.

Will be putting him and the BR pullet in the main flock and if his sire won't accept him in there, will be looking for a new home for Mr. Gideon. Hopefully, Ike will allow his son in there with him.

Hello EE owners! I thought I'd share my EEs. I have 3, maybe 4. I'm not sure if the 4th is an EE. It came in a bantam assortment, so I have no idea.

1st EE: Basil

2nd: Jupiter

3rd: Opal

4th: Tulip
Now, I'm not sure if this one is an EE. Unlike my others, she has yellow legs, and my 4-H leader said she doesn't look like an EE, but isn't sure. The hatchery was supposed to give me 3 different breeds in my assortment, but I only got 2, unless she is not an EE. What do you people think she is?

So, there's my EEs!
