No that is the opposite. The feather is blue, laced with red. So a red laced blue. A BLRW is a red feather with blue lacing.

Looks like someone let one of there lavenders that were not worth breeding into there EE flock , or there breeding birds are kept with there EE after breeding pens are pulled down and you got lucky with an awesome color mix.

Here is my EE roo Sunrise

Wow! Do you happen to have any pictures from when he was a few months old? I have an EE roo that is red and black but I can't tell what he will look like. He has a flockmate that is blue with what looks like red lacing.

I got my first EE egg yesterday!!! The yucky store bought egg is there just for color comparison.






I'm 99% sure it came from duck (she's looking at the camera), she is the only one squatting for the roo.

Do you call her "duck" because of the noise she made or makes?
I had a girl I called Honker because she honked like a goose when she was first changing from "cheep-cheep" to other noises.

This is my EEs egg not nearly as green as yours but I still find it very pretty

I still have 2 more EEs that I am waiting on to lay they are all 21weeks 1day

she will be 14 weeks old on Friday, so... not laying yet, probably another month, month and a half, two months... before I get eggs from her, but believe me, you all will be seeing pics of all the EE eggs as soon as I have them!

Hey all! I am new to BYC & finally started up a flock this past spring. I am wondering if ya'll wouldn't mind helping out here. I got 2 EEs a couple weeks ago & were both suppose to be pullets. I am now thinking that I may have a cockerel and pullet (they are the same age) age not known exactly but they are weighing in at 2.88lbs(1st 4 pics) & 2.4lbs(2nd 4 pics)


I'm thinking the above is a boy & the one below is a girl. What do you think?



I hope I got good enough pictures. They were very good today with the camera & scale.
