The EE braggers thread!!!

So many folks rave about their flock and yogurt. I havent had any luck. I have used it with my sick ones though, when they wont eat much else they will eat a little yogurt.

That lipstick look is so cute!

I have two easter eggers (sold as purebred ameraucanas, but I"m pretty sure they aren't!) that are about 8 weeks old. They are both beautiful!

Penguin, the youngest but very spunky

Olive (because she might be an Olive Egger) - the shy girl, bullied a bit by the bigger girls in the flock. Needs special attention to make sure she gets enough to eat and drink!

Yogurt does nothing nutritionally but is good for the pro biotics. I suspect you can do as well by giving them pro biotics. some vitamins have it and there is a new save a chick that has it.

Mine love to eat yogurt.

Very pretty EEs everyone! My poor black and gold EE, Basil, got into a bit of an accident. I heard her screeching and came outside to find that some of her saddle feathers had been plucked! She is now inside with me until we get her a saddle. I have applied Saline Rinse, Pain Killer Free Neosporin, and some Blu-Kote I got a TSC. I really want mine to start laying!

Mystery
That last photo almost looks like it has some Japanese bantam in it based on how short the legs look & the long more upright tail feathering -is she a lot smaller than the others? They are all beautiful, I have to agree, Kona is pretty amazing. Love her color!

I have her with my EE's since that is the best guess of what she could be. I had ordered a bantam buff brahma from MPC and she is what I got. She is bantam sized, has a pea comb, but her legs are on the shorter side. I named her Mystery, because that is what she is! Now just waiting to see what color egg she lays.

You will most definitely have to put up egg pics when she does! No matter what mix she may be, she's very pretty.

About yogurt and probiotics. I was thinking when I lost my last hen to swollen head syndrome...what can one to do boost their deficient immune systems. Antibiotics dont help them when it is a viral issue. I think that probiotics might be the booster needed!
Thanks Ron, I appreciate that comment.
