The EE braggers thread!!!

Very pretty EEs everyone! My poor black and gold EE, Basil, got into a bit of an accident. I heard her screeching and came outside to find that some of her saddle feathers had been plucked! She is now inside with me until we get her a saddle. I have applied Saline Rinse, Pain Killer Free Neosporin, and some Blu-Kote I got a TSC. I really want mine to start laying!

Aww, hope she gets better soon!

my only male EE is a cross with some Red Pyle OEG.

Edited to define the red pyle

Thank you for the picture!

He looks like a friendly guy too.

All those long skinny yellow/gold feathers that come off his neck , Right where its really shiny on his back between his neck and saddle, those feathers are basically see threw at the tips and around the edges. this pic is taken without a flash. But just the sun spots of light shinning threw a bush light them up. I thought it kinda strange. does anyone else have a bird with see threw feathers. You can almost tell a few that are laying over the dark red in his wings. the center of the feather is white with a lighter see threw boarder

Oh I like that one!

Does he have a Coronation Crown? Penedesencas are supposed to have that type of crown.

After looking it up he does have a comb that looks similar to the Penedesencas. I think I will be sending my pictures to the person we got him from as a chick and see what he thinks may be in the mix. We have already nailed down the Polish in him because of the crest (Polish was the only thing he had there with a crest). No to nail down the other part of him. We will definately have some interesting chicks if we get another broody and use our own eggs!
