If I could ever find an "acceptable"(to my liking/standards, lol) EE roo I would separate the EE girls but at this point they will be cooped with my "Splash, yellow-shoulder" Wyandotte roo. Will probably still have some lovely chicks, I was amazed at how many bearded chicks i got this year from RodgerXEE girls, and BIG beards they were!!
I loved all the roo's i got from Rodger this year but they were MASSIVE by 3 months and I was worried they would injure the girls if I kept them for breeding.
Here's the boy I am planning on keeping with my 'extras'... Ain't he purty?

oh yes! very cool color! i'll be very interested to following his development
One of my EE pullets appears to be molting her beard and cheek muffs. It looks really weird. I picked her up and looked around her neck feathers for any lice or anything, but it looked normal. Is this normal? A lot of the EE's are losing tail feathers, but this is different.
Has anyone crossed EE x Brahmas yet? I really want to see that combination.
I have a 3 month old pullet that was shedding some of her baby feathers a couple weeks ago and is now much better-looking, you can really see the greens/purples in her black feathers. I believe she is Wyandotte/EE, she's got that long, more upright EE tail. Wyandottes mature slowly though so mine may be a little off compared to other EE's.
Yes, that is one gorgeous egg. If the inside color of the shell is the same as the outer, there must not be a brown coating (. My EE's egg is a similar color, but a much lighter shade. Maybe mine has only one gene for blue shells, and yours has both genes.
Got a wheaten x buff Ameraucana (EE) from a lovely lady who is working toward turquoise eggs. Have a few more months before my pullet will lay and I hope her egg is like yours. Stunning!
Thanks!
