The EE braggers thread!!!

Speckles I believe are just calcium deposits and they can be on any chickens eggs so yes it can change. I will sometimes get brown eggs speckled with what looks like purple speckles(weird shade of brown) from time to time my kids love those ones.

Interesting! Thank you! My niece loves the speckles one, "they are cuter"... lol

Want to show off some pictures of my girls, 19.5 weeks old, and my boy, 23.5 weeks old!!!

Close up of Rouxster Roux's comb. Is it normal for a pea comb to stick up like that?

Brown Sugar and a close up of her comb. Her legs are REALLY blue! Her comb looks different than my other girls.

Amelia. She is our favorite. Has the best, most loving personality!

So, I have two muff-faced girls and two clean-faced. I cannot wait to see what color of eggs they lay!!!

sunflowergirl the combs that you are asking about are not just pea combs but a combination of a pea and possibly a sraight up comb. The last pictures should the more usual pea comb. Since EEs are mixes their traits are combinations of different types of combs and combinations there of

Thanks Flower! That is what I was thinking on Rouxster Roux, that he had a pea comb stuck on top of a straight comb. Brown Sugar's is a kind of pea comb, but the top looks like a tiny crown! It has the center, larger point and then one on either side that is smaller. She had reddened up this past week and kinda "plumped" up with the two side points.
