The EE braggers thread!!!

This is Cali, I hatched him from a blue egg, July 22nd

Cleo, my pure white EE. She is 5 months old.

This is Fern, got her last spring. She lays blue eggs :).

My first chicken ever was an EE, her name was Bell'e. Got her in '09. She died early this year :(

Your roo is very stunning, you will have to put up more pics as he matures! I have two EEs that look very much like Fern - Still have no idea what to name them :/
Will you be hatching any of his offspring or letting the girls hatch some?(when he's ready of course :p )

Well, I got him at about 20 weeks. He already had the beard a little bit by then and I think it has grown out some more since then. So, maybe in the next couple of weeks your roo will get busy on the beard!

I sure hope he does. Does anyone else know when it's common for the roosters to grow in their beards (if they are going to have one)?

she's my favorite

just hanging out

here are 3 of my girls colors unknown but they are sweeties! No eggs yet but soon I hope

I have 2 exactly same color

they are sisters

love her color

my other girl so calm

chickengarden from what I have seen and read birds born with their beards grow out very nice beards. So it seems that most feather traits need to be present at birth. If a bird is born with nice feathering on feet, they grow out with good feathering. I suppose that some folks experience is different but.............

debchick good looking flock and

Chicken Frenzie I just noticed that Cali has feathered feet and legs. Do you know his parentage ? Maybe blue Marans or Favorelle ? He could be a Olive Egger ? Fren is beautiful ! Gorgeous muffs and beard !
