Since I talked about him I guess I should show off my EE/Polish cockeral. He is 26 weeks old now. I know he is part polish because of the partial crest and the comb, I am figuring he is part EE too because he had green legs as a chick and has a beard. Those green legs have turned blue now.

This is him at a couple days old. Cute little chocolate puffy cheeked chick

I think this is at about 2 weeks old. You can see him starting to get a crest on him.

The awkward stage and the point at which I knew it was likely a boy. I think this is maybe 8-10 weeks old.

My 2 roos that I got out of a batch of 10 chicks of various breeds. EE/Polish is in the front and my Ameracauna roo is behind him. They are 15 weeks old in this photo. Technically my Ameracauna roo counts as an EE since the parents were likely a white hen and a wheaten rooster. Both this rooster and the hen that was also in the batch are pure white.

Here he is today at 26 weeks old. He likes to fly up to the top of the waterer and stand there to crow. He's pretty, he's docile, and that comb of his is so cool looking! He and the Ameracauna cockeral seem to share the rooster duties well and they both crow but rarely at the same time. He takes better care of the ladies though, as I have heard him calling to them when we throw out treats.
He is a really cool looking rooster. BEAUTIFUL
