The Egg Count from New Chickens

This is my first time raising chickens. In late November the eggs started coming from the hens hatched Memorial Day weekend. Very exciting stuff!

For kicks we started keeping a record of the daily egg count. I imagine that I'll keep it up until the novelty wears off or we get into full production. Anyway, this egg count overview might be handy for other newbies. The Egg Count.

Neat Blog for your family. I've kept a daily count also. I have a dry erase board in my garage and tally up with each collection. Every week I erase it and start over. Starting this year I've logged the tallies and I'll see what the yearly count will be.
