yes, they do have a roost higher than the nesting boxes and they were roosting at night but lately they go right to the nesting boxes........what do I need to change?

do you have a round roosting pole, or a flat surface for them? Sometimes, they prefer flat surfaces...you could always try covering the boxes at night for a while

Are you not suppose to let them have access to the nesting boxes until they show signs of laying?

well, there is no chicken law that says they cant have access, but most people don't like their girls roosting in the nest boxes...it makes for very messy eggs.

20 weeks today and still nothing, drivimg me nuts as well.

22 wk old BO's and nothing here either. They run from me all the time, so no luck in even trying the squatting test. Wattles are just starting to appear, faces are flushing a little more red, but no crests(they still look like pimples)
