The eggs song or alarm?

View attachment 2539092
Ok everyone, this is Everest, she has been singing the egg song (recently, once a day).
Her sister Blake seem to sing back up.
Today Everest squatted when chicken man was near and amazingly enough she asked him to pick her up!!!! She did this twice too!!!
Then later on in the day when he was sitting on his chair, she walked aver to him , climbed on his lap and actually snuggled up closed asking for a hug!!! Her wattle has turned red, she going into the nesting box and scratches around, what is she telling us?
My theory is that she’s waiting on warmer days.
Her sister Blake, who hatched at the same time, does not seem interested in laying an egg or even preparing for the even 🙈
What are your thoughts?
These are good signs, though beware she may try to steal your chicken man. ;)

Years ago I raised Buff Orpingtons mainly for the local 4H kids. I also showed them at poultry shows. Good luck and have fun...

Do they squat when you put your hand over their backs. Be careful when you let your birds out. A couple of times I had birds out and a hawk swooped in and killed them right in front of me. It happened so fast I didn't have time to react.

Yeah we are super careful. We are in the process of buying a bigger run so they don’t have to be out. Thanks for the warning.
