How old is she? Are any others showing symptoms? Where are you located? Has the weather changed? Or has it been very rainy recently?View attachment 1130713 I have a VERY perplexing emergency!!!!!
Yesterday, my silkie, Stella acted VERY differently than her normal self; she sat on the ground, tail down the WHOLE day! She will eat and drink. She doesn't feel any thinner than before. Yesterday I gave her some electrolytes, I don't think it helped. She hasn't started to lay yet. Her and my other silkie, Evie live in a small chicken tractor in my yard. I keep it clean, in fact I was cleaning it yesterday when I noticed Stella. I have 4 other chickens who live in the "big coop". My chickens have NEVER displayed signs like this. She hasn't been pooping very often, but when she does, it is normal. I don't know what's wrong! Please help!!!!!!
this is not my forte but if it were me i would continue with the medicine for at least a weekMy rooster is worse today. Can someone please advise me should I continue giving him penicillin or stop? He's had just one dose so far. I now wonder if it's inflammatory edema?? I cannot take him to a vet.....BYC has to be my vet.
