I know this has nothing to do with this but can I use hydrogen peroxide to disinfect a wound on my hen

Although our moms did things differently
Hydrogen Peroxide should only be used to debride a wound or lesion not disinfect it - and the max dilution should be 50% peroxide to 50% clean water - if you are debriding it. (All those fizzing bubbles are over oxygenating the wound cells and breaks them down)

Peroxide is not an antiseptic so I'd say a firm No and Never unless a vet tells you otherwise

Chlorhexidine is an example of an antiseptic rinse (google it up)

Anyone have any wisdom for me on dealing with fowl cholera please??

All I can send your way

Doesn't sound good
It's infectious with a high mortality rate. I'd definitely quarantine any and all chickens with symptoms away from the flock until you get a handle on things. Even shows that ulceration or lesion on a chickens waddle

If it hasn't been said before
Wash your hands before and after handing any chickens. Wear gloves that you leave with your chicken or dispose of them. Keep shoes clean and use shoes or boots you keep with the sick chicken

Hope this makes sense
