I would very much like to share this information, that for the worms some of my hens did have, I had done the full seven day treatment of wazine in September followed by 7 days of antibiotics only for the problems to reoccur. I then did the corid powder followed by more wazine for the problem to remain. After reading several other websites and forums hearing many others also have the same failed results with the other dewormers as well and wazine being the best to treat their types of worms, I stumbled upon another website that mentioned natural remedies. Such as sage pumpkin seeds, nasturtium, garlic, raw Apple cider, etc. I also learned and all the other deworming medication but I had not tried that and I only were they not a successful it was more of a long-term preventative approach. I also already picked cucumbers and watermelon seeds are also good for fighting against these types of internal parasites. I perhaps had not experienced these issues before because in the warmer months of summer I was reading again a lot of these at three for the heat unknowingly thought it was helping. I purchased 12 nasturtiums, a fresh pumpkin, did the chopped fresh garlic in the raw unrefined Apple cider vinegar as well as other herbs I had here in my garden like sage and thyme, and to my surprise I have finally seen in only two days, a tremendous improvement in all of their stools. I am off definitely no longer a skeptic of the natural remedies.

I prefer natural and it works with healthy chickens. I have noticed when my chickens get sick they get worms as well. I discovered a dog's wormer that contains fenbendazole and praziquantel and it works as my chickens usually get tapeworms. then I continue with natural staff. I give most of things you mention all the time and it helps to boost their immune system so they can fight parasites with greater success.

Weight is about 3 lbs (very thin due to illness)
Had sour crop/blockage that cleared after 2 weeks
Treated with corid and Safeguard wormer
Won't eat chicken feed, only will eat protein
Has bad diarrhea that looks like mostly urates
Diarrhea has been present for 3 weeks, but now is mostly clear liquid or white
Drinking normally
Crop empty in a.m.
In large dog crate in garage with space heater for warmth.
Roams about in garage every day searching for bugs/crickets.
Talks, grooms

Concerned about continuous diarrhea. Concerned about self limiting diet.

Bacterial infection?
Damage to digestive tract that needs to heal?

What type of protein will she only eat?

It would be best to take a sample to the vet for testing.
A lot of urates (mostly white) can be an indication of kidney malfunction among other things. Salmonella would be a concern as well I suppose.

Get a small bag of chick starter and offer this to her as a wet mash. Since it is high in protein and nutritionally balanced, she may eat it. You can add a little chopped apple, grape, or greens to the mash to make it more enticing. Just place the feed in a small bowl, add a little warm water to make it the consistency of oatmeal. My adults love to have wet feed everyday.

too much protein will damage kidneys. if she does not want to eat chicken feed give her green leaf vegetables. that works for my recovering chickens. they slowly start eating their feed after a few days on green diet.

I would also put some acv and a clove of garlic in her water for a few days.

She also can't get enough minced green grass. I have been cutting it up into bits since she passed the impaction.

I have been putting part of one of my probiotic capsules in her water. They have 30 billion live bacteria per dosage.

She'll only eat moving things, insects, crickets and meal worms that I purchased at a pet store. We'll, my daughter did get her to eat some minced chicken mixed with some of the grass.

Stange thing is that she won't eat out of a dish any more. She will only eat off of the floor. And she refuses to eat while locked in the crate. She'll drink in there, but won't eat in there.

can you let her out? I think you can try to put her back with the rest of your flock now. you can give probiotics, greens and anything else to all of them, no harm. she might be happier with them and she has nothing contagious so you don't need to keep her separate.

I noticed some white runny chicken poop on my patio today and am wondering if I should be concerned. I have noticed it on and off for a while now(can't really say how long). I have 12 chickens. 8 are 1 1/2 years old and the other 4 are 6 months old. The older girls have started molting and I have been given everyone feed with a higher protein content to help with new feather growth. This is my first molt so I don't have any thing to compare their behavior to and don't know if those that are acting sluggish at times or if they're resting and regrow int. Any ideas? Please help! I love my chickens!

some acv and a clove of garlic in their water won't hurt. I sometimes find poop like that, but no idea. no other symptoms.
