The EMERGENCY Thread!!!

She's seven weeks old, I cleaned the wounds and applied neosporin. She's currently inside with a buddy. She's lethargic, and has been eating but not drinking. And the attack happened last night at around 4, it's been about 15 hours.

@Squeak61 Do your best to get her hydrated/drinking. Offering a wet mash as @biophiliac suggested can help get a little fluids into her.

Help! I recently got a black silkie from a man who breeds them. When we got home I noticed that it had matted feathers on its wings, which is strange because silkies feathers fly free, so they have feather fur! Also every time we touch its wings, it chirps loudly, not its usual sounds. I think it might have been in a fight when it was younger. We got it at 4-5wks old. It lives inside, since she's too little to introduce to my 4 big hens. I don't know if anything is wrong, but I'm still worried! Please help!!

Can you post some photos?

Matted feathers - can you give them a wash to see if that helps. Do you see any wounds or mites/lice under the wings when you spread them out?

Is she eating/drinking ok and active?

She's active. I've given it 2 baths not one has helped. It has these little white things floating in her fur. I just guessed that they were new feather tip because they feel so thin and papery. Because it is growing new feathers. I'll post a pic later.
