Feedback The END OF 2017 BYC Improvements Thread

that is a good idea, when you have an emergency and you remeber reading a thread and have to go back and search for it, is a royal pain when time is of the essence
There is a bookmark feature that comes with a Premium Membership.
I love this feature!

Can you please add a "dislike" button to the bottom of posts? For instance, you create a thread about your sick chicken. Maybe somebody responds that you should just get rid of the chicken and get a goat instead (this is a completely made up scenario). I think it's only fair that I could choose to "unlike" that post.

Note: this has to do with a comment in another thread that people click "like" too much. Apparently that person feels that many of us just want to win some kind of prize for clicking like a lot and not because we truly liked what the poster said or that it was helpful, etc. I feel like I should not like posts now.

I would LOVE a dislike option too!

Yeah, as much as I like the idea of a thumbs down button I think lots of people would get their feelings hurt, then they would probably stop posting, which would be bad for BYC.

For the scenario you described, and there have been a few similar to that (I kid you not), one should report the post and let the moderators handle it.

I would think about reporting that one.

Plus, there is always the risk of the typed word or meaning being misinterpreted and subsequent 'dislike' of a post or a post being disliked because the OP's opinion or suggestion is not agreed with by the 'disliker'.

Rather than a quick, passing dislike of a post with no reason, I would rather see a discussion as to why it was disliked or as already mentioned, reported if inappropriate.

Yes!
Actually had one like that recently with @KikisGirls post said I disagree and then we had a couple of posts of discussion and all was good!

A dislike button would not have helped here

I love when we are able to agree to disagree!
