The Evolution of Atlas: A Breeding (and Chat) Thread

My son Chris's boss in S. Korea drove 2 hours to the Army base to get her American teachers a Thanksgiving feast of turkey, dressing, mashed potatoes and gravy, cranberry sauce, apple pie, and green beans. That is the nicest thing I've ever heard of her doing. He was just complaining about having to each fish and mango sauce, then got hit with that kindness. That was so, so nice of her. And unusual!

We don't do holidays, but my older son did drive up here because his dad said he was making his dressing. We're not going to the family dinner this month. My furnace is still broken. Probably that capacitor like Cheryl said. There is a huge one on the side of the thing, no circuit board, seems all hard-wired. We're probably not going to fix it right now, since we have those oil space heaters and the wood stove.
Alice's side is healing slowly. Thea's crop is still not functioning. All else seems status quo. Going to get some groceries tomorrow among the crazed bargain shoppers. And it's going to be really cold tomorrow after 2 days of spring temps so the birds have to stay inside anyway. I sold the lap quilt I was finishing, putting binding on now.

Well heck, had I known there was going to be special dressing, I'd have driven up there to visit for the day. Special dressing is worth the risk of visiting the cranky, hermit lady, on side of the mountain. ROFLOL! All kidding aside, I'm glad your son got to visit.

It's great that you sold your lap quilt. You do good work. Careful of all the crowds, and bargain shoppers, although they usually aren't in the grocery stores. Few grocery stores, if any, offer Black Friday grocery deals.

The temps are suppose to drop here tonight, so I'll go out later, and make sure their coops are snug.
