The Evolution of Atlas: A Breeding (and Chat) Thread

Yes, finally! Some days, it seems nothing goes right. Naked Cora is growing feathers quickly and will have to get her weight back. Brandy is gorgeous, hefty and finally laying eggs again regularly. Wendy continues to be a witch to everyone.
This is where Wendy roosts at night, on the 2" princess bar. She can't seem to get along with anyone. And June sleeps in her coke crate throne every night. Jane has taken to sleeping near her since she is tormented by Wendy and Zara. Jane needs to gain weight, too, since her molt is over.
Also snapped pics of Atlas's group, plus Georgie who will be 11 in February and Tiny the Terrorist and Emily, who will be 10 at the same time. Tiny is laying, an egg every two or three days now. I have eggs coming from my older hens, but not my younger ones much other than Maddie, Jane's sister, and Brandy. What breed is the last white hen? IT looks like my Colombian project i got from papas poultry.

Thea is not looking great. Her crop is fine and she's been eating the special foods I've brought her, but today, her comb is dusky and she's lethargic, shows no interest in the food I put in front of her. She's been back with Hector for a few days now, though they've been mostly inside due to weather. I hope she'll be okay, no idea what is wrong. No bloat, nothing to treat or manipulate.

Alice's scabs are lifting off nicely. The one where the wound was deepest seems most attached, though the edges are off the skin now. I keep spraying Vetericyn daily, several times each day, making sure to get under the edge of the scabby areas. Won't be long until she can go in with June and Georgie and the feathers will fly when Hector and Jill (and maybe Thea, depending on how she looks) are put in with Jane, Maddie, Zara, Athena and Wendy. Maddie can be cantankerous so she and Jill will definitely go at it and so will some others. I think Jane may just hide.

Georgie is a huge personality like most Delawares. She recovered from what presented like that stroke months back, took her place back as 2nd in command and is just being Georgie. She breathes heavily and turns dark if she sits on her abdomen or if you hold her, but then, she is almost 11 years old.

Thea is not looking good. She refused biscuits. No chicken refuses freshly baked biscuits! That's bad. She wouldn't eat some egg I took her this afternoon after I put her in the hospital cage to rest. I have no idea what's going on. She isn't super young, but she also is not old, either. Hector, Jill and Thea was just three-and-a-half years old. Wouldn't be surprised if I lost her. So, very soon Hector and Jill will move in with the other group, after I remove June and Georgie, of course. Alice is close to being ready to go in with someone.

I wormed everyone today (except Aubrey, who would probably die in my arms if I could even catch him), this time using just Invermectin Pour On because of its mite killing properties. I know it won't kill all the worms, if they have them, but it may kill some roundworms. I just had not wormed them in awhile and they have not been able to really dustbathe much due to weather.
