The Evolution of Atlas: A Breeding (and Chat) Thread

yet another mystery of life...

Not a welcome one, though, LOL.

I have found a tough-guy name for Deacon and Sammie Jo's Delaware colored son. Since I named the black one after Rocky Balboa, I was sitting on my steps trying to think of a very tough but short guy and I thought of the karate master and action star Jet Li. So, how about Jet? Rocky and Jet works, right? Little men need tough names.

I have never raised one myself, but I don't expect them to live over a year. The other type of dwarfism would have them living only a few months, but this type isn't as debilitating, so they could live longer. I just know they are not likely to have long lives.

I have no idea what I'll do with them, but who would take a dwarf to fall in love with, knowing he wont be with them long? They are both super sweet, especially Rocky.

Good names for them. I bet they would make good therapy chickens for hospital visits. Their small size would be a plus.

My 2 Delaware hens have been standing at the pen fence staring at the vegetable garden all morning, I think they are plotting an escape.

You can bank on it. I don't let Isaac's group free range as much as they used to because of his leg issues. He gets so tired. But, Georgie is always at the gate or the human door when I go down there, trying to get past me. She misses running around every day for hours.
