Wow!!! Happy Anniversary eve!!! Did you get the little reuseable filter with your Keurig 2.0 so you can make your kcups? What a nice gift, your son is very thoughtful.

No, I didn't get one of those. It has a way to use the pods as well as the cups.
ETA: Ooops, I misspoke! It has a basket for putting in your own ground coffee or a pod, so I guess the answer is yes.

If you like a lighter roast coffee, Target has a great coffee called Candycane but they only have it at Christmas. It isn't an overwhelming mint taste but it is as if you took one of those Bob's Sugar Candy Canes and stirred your coffee with it. It is so popular here that it is almost always sold out when I go to Target. Whenever I manage to snag a few boxes the cashiers always comment that they sell out very quickly.

I'm not close to a Target, but thanks for the recommendation. I do love peppermint.

I am anxious but also dreading. It's been a long time since I had to raise a bunch of brooder chicks! Thinking I want some Brahmas and Olive Eggers to add to the BRs. Hope when the time comes, I can find a breeder who has both so I don't have to coordinate shipments.

You won't believe it. I don't believe it. Guess who laid an egg today? GLORIA JEAN! She was dying! She was bloated in her belly like a beach ball for months and months, then she was bone thin, then she was in full molt. I thought she would leave us then. It's been almost a year since she laid an egg. But, no, she's made of stronger stuff and today, I saw her-she laid an egg! And that's not all.... guess who else laid an egg? DRUSCILLA! Saw that, too! I have had four eggs from Atlas's group just today! Dottie, the pointy egg I think may be Lizzie's, Gloria Jean and Druscilla! Should I go with the flow and get out the incubator? No, I can't. Hatch chicks just as winter is approaching? Nah, I can't... can I? I don't know! I don't know!

Hey, you could join the NYD hatchalong! Don't mind me, I'm a total enabler and I just cleaned and retired my own incubator for the year so I'm living vicariously
