The Evolution of Atlas: A Breeding (and Chat) Thread

I had to let my Dad's elderly car go today, she has lived here since Dad died 2 1/2 years ago. She told me yesterday she was ready.
Sorry for your loss. Depending on what it is, you might want to consider it as a restoration project. In another 10 years, it might be worth a lot.

Ok I Really need to fix the autocorrect on this phone somehow. It was his CAT, Angel, such a tiny little sweet thing, his good companion for many years.

I wondered about that when I saw it, then decided to turn the page before responding. Sorry about your Dad's cat. I know how that is, when they let you know they are ready. My dog, Kes, has been gone now four years this month-she died one month after I lost big Suede. The last week she was alive-with cataracts, almost deaf, skin and bones in spite of eating fine, incontinent, becoming a little senile- her eyes were different and she just said to me with them, "I'm only here still because I'm breathing".

We sure miss her, but she lived a long life for a big dog. She was a pointer/yellow lab adopted on PetSmart adoption days at around 8 months old as a companion for our rambunctious boxer/retriever, Cody, and was about to turn 15 years old. Never a sweeter dog on the planet. I've seen dogs that resemble her so closely in our area that folks are trying to rehome, my heart skipped a beat. But, she was so cold natured and I'd rather have a dog who is better outside in cold weather than she was because it would bed down in the barn near the chickens.

I am sooooooo sorry. My condolences!

Went to the Dr. yesterday. The current meds are helping. He wants to do the breathing tests on Oct. 20., and says there is a good possibility that I will be over this by then, and he can clear me for the surgery, if I continue to respond, and heal at the current rate. YAY!

Well, well, well, lookie what my game camera caught. I have never seen the brown dog before and I can't tell for sure if the one behind the tree is my next door neighbor's dog, Brody, or a black and white dog. Brody is an Aussie/Blue Heeler cross with sort of BH coloring and a curly tail like that. What do you think?

The boxer seems to be looking at something toward the barn or the house, but at that time of day, the chickens would still be inside the barn, most likely, too early. Maybe he saw Finn. Glad the fence is there, though he could scale that if he wanted to. At least, it gives a visual warning if he does to whatever he's going after so the cat or the chickens can escape. He'd have to not only go over that, but over a 5' welded wire fence as well because I never let anyone free range that early in the day, because predators may still be out and about.

It's cool that you can see what's going on around your property. Makes me want to get a game camera.

We're remodeling our chicken house. Much more fun than doing anything to our own house, haha!
