The Evolution of Atlas: A Breeding (and Chat) Thread

I have not brought her to the birds yet. Gonna let her settle down first. She is scared of any little thing that moves outside. I feel bad for the poor girl. I am thinking tomorrow or Friday. Most likely Friday when we aren't as busy. She is a such a chill easy going dog. Likes cats and hates chewing on stuff including her toys.

I dont recall ever seeing pics of Kes? What kind of dog was she?

They sure did do a good job! I would hate to be a rat with them around!

Sexing chicks can be quite a pain cant it? Hopefully its a pullet!

Isaiah, she sounds like Kes when we first got her. Kes was a pointer/yellow lab cross. She was 15 when she died. Can't find my best pictures of her, but here's one.

What a beautiful girl Cyn!

Thanks, yes, she was beautiful and the sweetest dog ever, our third "pound puppy".

Found more. The other one is Cody, who we got three years before Kes. He was boxer/retriever, as dominant as she was submissive. Smart as a whip and a royal pain. He passed away of kidney failure at 12 years old.

They were beautiful Cyn. Can definetly see the Pointer in Kes in these pics. I still find it amazing how we get attached to these animals

It was very hard losing Kes, especially for DH. But, she had a good, long life, very well-loved. Her life did not start out that nicely before we got her at around 8 months old, but she was a wonderful dog, rarely ever barked (but, boy, when she did, that deep, booming voice!).

15 years is a long time for a Lab for a big dog! Glad she got to spend most of her life with you guys!

Me, too! She was a doll. And you'll give Foxy more confidence like Kes had after she'd been with us and Cody for awhile.

Oh, I have ads up for Apollo. We'll see. Took this picture of him today. He's so handsome, isn't he?

Athena.

Isaiah, she is lovely

Cyn, do you have her on a probiotic?

someone should snap those two beautiful birds up
She has plain yogurt on occasion when the group gets something special. No one else has her issue. I thought maybe it was worms, though I never saw any, then they all got Valbazen and it didn't change anything as far as her liquidy poop goes. I may have to separate her to make sure she's eating the yogurt and isn't chased away from it. Ida can be an old witch at times and she bullies everyone. She pushed Tessa off the roost tonight and growled at her like a dog.

I'm going to see if I can sell Apollo by himself first. I hate to punish Athena by making her leave her sister unless I can't sell him any other way.

My wire is suppose to be here on Friday. I will put it between all the sections, so the roosters can't do any damage to one another, and any little ones can't escape through the welded wire. As soon as I get it affixed, I will be bringing my chickens home. I start my first round of chemo Monday morning.
