So sorry. As a person that was dumb enough to smoke I know what a wicked addiction smoking is, you can never imagine it will be you that dies from it. I'm glad to be free, the stuff should be as illegal as any other drug in my opinion. It is a horrible end, again I'm sorry.

Lisa, I'm very happy that you quit. In our world now, with all the inhaled poisons and ingested chemicals, I realize that smoking is not the only cause of lung cancer and COPD, but it is almost a guarantee if someone does smoke.

I'm sorry to hear that, although expected either that or worse news.

I'm sorry to hear that. it's hard when you have to watch someone you care about suffer the consequences of their poor decisions. Especially when you've had so many other family members go through it, you'd think that would be enough to learn from.

I appreciate all of you, thanks. Yes, kitkat, you'd think they'd learn, but it's a tough addiction, no doubt. Still, I'd prefer to live rather than commit slow suicide. In the facility he's in now, he cannot smoke inside or outside. In his senior living apt he came from, he had to go outside to smoke and was doing it several times a day still, when he could get up the energy to drag himself out there.


Oh, I got a message from the man who bought the big son of Apollo recently and named him Rocky. He sent a picture, but I didn't copy it. He seems very pleased with the boy, as most are from the progeny that began with Isaac and the Stukels.

Rocky is growing to a nice boy! He is very gentle . I handle him daily. He and his hen got to go on the yard for the first time for a couple of hrs .

I keep meaning to say that isn't it neat that Volkwagen named their newest vehicle after my rooster, Atlas?

The black vehicle has been there twice, which concerns me. Personally, I think I would talk to local law enforcement, and let them at least know about it. I think I would alert my nearest neighbors too. I wouldn't put up any signs alerting them to camera surveillance, so they won't be sneaking in trying to avoid the cameras.

I like signs that pretty much say, "You really, REALLY don't want to be here and if you proceed, you'll soon know why", LOL. That makes them wonder what's down the driveway that's going to meet them.

My husband went across town to visit his brother, possibly for the last time. He's NOP, meaning nothing by mouth. I'm not sure he knows or accepts what's happening. He was mad that he couldn't smoke. Geez. But, he's going to die way too soon, about the same age as his own mother did, same thing, COPD.

The guy who was going to get the BR pair never showed up. But I did sell one of the Brahma males and the other three in the older group are going to a new home tonight or tomorrow. It will be an all BR crew then. Two boys, three girls. I think I'll name the pullet I think may be Druscilla's daughter "Drea", pronounced "Dray-uh". The other one, I'll have to think about. I think it must be Jill and Hector's, she looks like it.
