The Evolution of Atlas: A Breeding (and Chat) Thread

Thea has two babies and two are pipped. She is doing fine with them, not hostile at all. When they all hatch, I'll have to steal one for Bonnie and see if she'll take it and snap out of her nest-sitting addiction.

I hope Bonnie will make things easy and accept one.

We set her up a dog crate and put an egg in it in prep for taking a baby to give her. She rolled it around some, but did not sit on it. When I let Bash out to free range, I let her out and she ran out with him and is still out after quite awhile, though she did cluck a little bit. Maybe she's coming out of it (IhopeIhopeIhope). I'd rather they stay together with Thea, if at all possible.

We both went for our 6 month maintenance checkup at our doctor. All my numbers were excellent, better than even before, but I ended up on amoxicillin and an anti-inflammatory nasal spray, plus a steroid shot. After my root extraction, it was much more painful than it should have been, as I mentioned, so I had gone back after a week and the surgeon said it was healing well, no infection, and he packed that stuff up in there to help speed the healing and help the pain, which it did (though it still has its moments). From that first few days I had developed a dry cough, very life-interrupting, but I have not been sick at all. I thought maybe it was related to the extraction somehow because of the timing. The doc said she thought the area was too red and there still may be a hint of infection and she prescribed the amoxicillin and gave me that steroid shot and said that if the cough does not go away, I had to let her know. So, that was most of my day.

When we left, there were no visible pips, but when we got back after 1:30 p.m., Thea had two chicks! MAGIC! LOL

Friday, my doom approaches, if you don't hear from me next week, it's been nice knowing you.:frow

Haha, you goof! You'll be fine-you better be! This thread would not be the same without you!

Friday, they deliver my new washer. The older one was getting so loud, we couldn't even hear the TV, it was a like a jet landing in the livingroom, though it worked fine. This is the first washer we've had without an actual agitator, it has an "impeller". I wanted one near the 5 cu ft tub I had and this one has 4.8, but no agitator to take up space, was marked down from $699 to $499 and Tom got his military 10% off of that. We gave the old one away. Should be okay for someone who has a basement laundry room or maybe they can fix it, but it was already over 8 years old and we were not going to put $$ into repairs.

My son sent gifts from Ireland from his week long apt hunting trip there. He gets fridge magnets for his Aunt Janet every time he goes somewhere, plus shot glasses for my older son's wife and something for me, though he sent them from Korea. He'll be in Ireland at the beginning of Sept for the school year.
