That sounds delicious. I love butternut squash. There are so many ways to fix the puree.

Yes, it's very versatile. When I have extra butternut squash pancakes, Atlas tends to gulp rather than share, LOL.That sounds delicious. I love butternut squash. There are so many ways to fix the puree.
Cut it in half, scrape out seeds bake in oven til tender. But butter salt and pepper on it. Enjoy! She's so pretty
I got acorn squash this year and I have no idea what to do with it. I'm not really a big squash eater lol. I prefer zucchini for yummy zucchini bread.![]()
That's a good decision, the hens are probably happy not to have to deal with him. Who knew chickens were so choosy about their mates.Well, I am done with the squabbling and near-accidental injuries in the Atlas pen. He no longer has those three hens. Poor Zara squatted, was attacked by Tessa, who she was bowing to, and Atlas jumped in between, but he is nasty to all three still. They refuse to allow him to breed them, which is probably why the animosity-they are squatting, but keeping their tails down. And Wendy was attacked by Wynette and almost fell off the roost and I was done at that point. So, Atlas can just let his die off one by one and if he is left with only Tessa, maybe he'll be more willing to accept new girls then, BR or Brahma. Ida is still with me, but very unsteady and not looking any better, but not really any worse. I doubt she'll ever be back with him.
Me, either. He's very patient with his own usually (which is why his hackles and saddles are plucked all the time), but he is not good with change in harem membership, apparently.Big dodo. I really don't care much for Roosters that aren't kind to their hens.
I think they've been without a rooster too long, probably were enjoying a rooster-free existence. I know Isaac played favorites, but Atlas is worse than Ike ever was. That's a good decision, the hens are probably happy not to have to deal with him. Who knew chickens were so choosy about their mates.
You and I wouldn't want a new rooster either.Me, either. He's very patient with his own usually (which is why his hackles and saddles are plucked all the time), but he is not good with change in harem membership, apparently.
