I definitely didn't need to say anything bad about religion. I believe everyone has a right to do as they please as far as that goes.
Some of the bickering is vaguely amusing, but being trolled is not okay.
I find it weird people put so much work into making the stuff, but people like to follow the fads, and I think there some degree of feeling like you are doing better by your chickens. To each their own. I'd prefer to see more healthy housing pushed. Too many birds stuff into tiny coops. My chickens are healthy because they can range and run and get their own healthy foods.
We used to feed the pigs the free whey from the dairy, boy that stuff stunk.
I was clunky in how I said that, Lisa. What I meant was people can be serious about religion, something that may be personal and very important to them with a deep meaning to it, but to get religious about
chicken feed is insane, IMO. That's sort of what I was trying to get across. Did you notice that my subscriber on YouTube said she'd heard about birds dying? So, it's not just me. But, never confuse a Yuppie Chicken Keeper with fact, don't ya know?
I agree, they cannot have enough fresh air, sunshine and natural wild foods! I think mine are always better off when I can let them roam outside the pen for longer periods when there is a lot of green stuff growing. This is one reason I have toyed with the idea of getting rid of roosters, or a couple of them. The Belgian D'Anvers, maybe Hector. I can't get rid of Atlas, he's too old to go anywhere else and he is a great free range guy, too. You know, MaryJo seems to prefer Atlas to Hector? I saw that just today. Sigh. Can't breed her with daddy, probably get more dwarfs.
That's my thoughts on it too. Why make more work for yourself when regular feed is just fine? I have a 5 gallon bucket feeder that gets filled about once a week. I've got too much on my plate to add in a much fussier way to feed my chickens, especially with it not proven safe.
Absolutely!
Cynthia, Have you seen this? There is a free downloadable Videopad, for non-commercial, home use only. Look down and on the left for the tiny Windows Logo, under the black box saying "Making Movies Has Never Been Easier". There, in tiny letter is tells about the free version, and there is a link to download it. It may not suit your needs, I don't know.

That's what I'm actually using now, Cheryl, but my free trial has run out. My husband keeps trying to fool it, and he usually can "tweak" the program so we can keep using stuff awhile longer, but it still has not allowed me to upload directly to YouTube anymore. It does work on the computer, yes, and I'm getting used to the program more and more.
