The Evolution of Atlas: A Breeding (and Chat) Thread

Still no photos. But I have a brooder full of 15 chicks.

I was going to take a few photos on the phone and found that it's memory was full. Then I've gotten too busy. I made 2 chick runs - one to Chicago area and one to about 1.5 hours south of me so that has messed up my work hours somewhat. Going to be working tonight.

My BA eggs arrived. In 48 hours, they'll be in the bator. Now, I'm getting excited. I need a few good cockerels, and for at least one of them to grow into an exceptionally good rooster.

Good luck with the hatch! Bash's daughter, Cora, is now full on broody. She's been playing at it for a couple of months and is already too thin, but never actually sat. Now, she's chosen to get real and I cannot allow her to sit. I have so many chicks I am trying to sell already, no way I can add to that now.

From my FB page today, my mini-rant, tongue-in-cheek (but, not really).

Watching House Hunters and various home renovation programs on HGTV, I know why marriages and relationships fail. The cause? The Two Sink Phenomenon! You know what I mean...
It doesn't have two sinks, we wanted two sinks
This house only has one sink. Buyers want double vanities.
There is only one sink, this just won't work for us.
We'll replace this outdated vanity that has only one sink with a new one with double sinks.
Etc, etc, etc, etc....

What the heck is this thing with entire families in the bathroom at the same time? That is the ONE last frontier, the one place I insist on being alone. I don't want someone else in there when I'm putting on makeup, brushing my teeth, doing my hair, washing my face, in the shower/tub or anything else! My husband is the same way. We do not inhabit the bathroom at the same time. Two sinks would mean two sinks to get dirty and less counter space. No need for two if only one person is in the bathroom at any given time. It's always been this way, even with children at home.

My proof that two sinks and communal bathrooms/bathroom familiarity are a bad thing? An almost 43 year successful marriage.

Now, let's tackle the line I absolutely *LOATHE*...
This house is perfect for entertaining!

Who cares? Are you a catering service or something?
I mean, who the heck are you buying the house for, anyway? Yourself or a bunch of someone elses?

My thoughts for the day are now complete.
