Pretty!
I am sure the days getting shorter has a lot to do with Lizzie's tardiness.
Now that Isaac has passed on and Deacon has six hens, albeit no young ones (Maretta is the youngest at 4 1/2 yrs old), he's not in desperate need of more like he was when he had only Rita. I didn't think at first that Tessa would have the nice barring that she does and since Atlas's hens are getting older, too, might be prudent to give Tessa to him instead. On the other hand, I'm not really breeding so it doesn't much matter, I suppose. If I did need to hatch and she was laying, though, it would be better if she was with a proper BR male. I cannot reproduce Deacon because of his dwarf gene he got from his Delaware side so his hens are layers only.
The original three Stukel hens will be 5 years old in April and Druscilla is less than a year behind them. Frankly, I'm not sure if she's ever laid an egg. I've never seen an egg I could point to as definitely hers, though she must have laid one sometime. Other than those, Atlas has only Lizzie and possibly Tessa. My splash Rock, Gloria Jean, is with him but she hasn't laid in ages and I doubt she ever will again after her extended bout of bloat.
