The Evolution of Atlas: A Breeding (and Chat) Thread

speckled, It sound like we have about the same type luck with glasses. I had bought a new pair of reading glasses, walked in the door, they slipped off my head hitting the floor, and broke one side. I hope your headache got better. I hope you got yourself a fresh cup of coffee too.

I am not a happy camper. I ordered some wire from Amazon, and on the 6th. they sent me an email saying it had been sent, and would arrive on Friday the 10th. It didn't come. They sent me another email, changing the arrival date to the 15th. I checked the UPS website using the tracking number they gave me, and it says the label has been printed, but the wire had not been picked up, or taken to them to be shipped. I was hoping to get finished with everything before starting chemo. That's not going to happen.

The dogs are cute, but I hope he's home enough to deal with food aggression issues.

My wire arrived today. Of course, it's raining out.....
Of course it is. I have a roll of it, plus u-posts ready to replace the too short fencing on either side of my driveway gate, but we have snow in the forecast and super frigid days for the 48 hours or so. No outside work getting done until it feels more like spring again.

Those dogs are too cute Cyn! Looks kinda like our new dog but the ears on ours stick straight up.

Hey, all, chick pics today! Brandy's will be 3 weeks old on Saturday and Bonnie's will be 4 weeks old on Sunday. I posted on the Brahma thread for the Brahma lovers, but of course, being a mixed group, I have to repost here so you can see the little sons and daughter of Apollo.

Brandy has the only definite pullet of the BRs.

And Bonnie's little critters. You see the size difference on the smaller one, but it's feathering in faster than the larger cockerel and sure is chowing down on the scrambled eggs and yogurt!

Chicks are adorable Cyn! "Piglet" does look like he/she could be a pullet! :fl

I hopefully will have some calf pictures to show you by the end of this weekend Cyn! We got the cows in two days ago and boy are they ready to burst!

The chicks are growing so fast!! One of my favorite things is watching a broody and her babies. Fingers crossed you get the boy/girl numbers you need! Were you able to find a home for Apollo?

I had 18 out of 22 eggs hatch last week. They are in my basement in a box, something I told myself would NEVER happen again. It was DH who convinced me to do it, though. Like you, our weather has been wacky, with unseasonably warm weather, then snow and now super cold weather. I cleaned the broody coop and planned to move them out right away. DH, the softie that he is, said "oh, keep them inside for just a while." He's not the one who has to clean up after them, lol!

Exciting news about calving season, Isaiah! Be sure to share pictures!! Our sweet heifer will get here in a couple weeks!! For now, the fencing continues!!
