Oh those babies are so cute! Farm stores around here are starting to get chicks, I’m going to have to take a trip just to see some since I can’t get more right now lol. And I love seeing the little d’anvers too, they’re fun

We had a beautiful day today so I took the opportunity to clean up the coop a bit and let my girls out in the yard.

Chicks in bins at the farm stores exert a strange gravitational pull. I recommend keeping your distance or suffer the consequences

It always makes me sad when I see the chicks at the farm store. I know they're not being taken care of well and always see some of them that are being bullied that could be rescued but will probably die. Some of the stores are large enough that no one has the time to really attend properly to them.

Just sad to me.

It is sad. I want to just take them all in. I feel the same about zoos.

Last year a lady on my local chicken FB group found an IFA that had older chicks that nobody had bought stacked in tray cages that were way too short. They couldn’t stand up fully, we’re being pecked to death because they were overcrowded, had sores and missing most of their feathers. She bought the ones in the worst condition to save them (I think they all survived and other locals took them in once they had recovered since she couldn’t keep them all) and contacted IFA corporate about it and they quickly made things better at that store.

I'm very upset. I ordered 2 comforter sets from Zulily.com. I've always been very pleased with them. Well, the order has taken a lot longer than it should, so I began checking on it. It says they delivered it on the 20th. ??????? Then I checked where they delivered it. They delivered it to our old apartment. When I ordered the comforter sets, I had to update all the billing information, and indicated they should ship to the billing address. They didn't. What infuriates me even more, is that the recipient didn't mark it "no such person at this address", and return it.

So, what are they going to do about it? They ought to give you a refund, at least, for shipping to the wrong address, or get you out replacements. Guess someone there is a thief, eh? I know that if you are sent something you did not order, you are allowed to keep it, but that's if it is sent to you, not mis-addressed.

I got a new computer yesterday. Took hours and hours to get all the stuff moved from the old one to this one. It was on Walmart.com, a reconditioned/refurbished all-in-one HP Pavilion with a decent speed processor and a 1T hard drive, same hard drive space as I had in the other one but faster processor. This is also a touchscreen like the Lenovo Sherry gave us after her house fire. I did not trust that one though when it was working fine, it was a fast machine, very nice and easy to use. I think the power supply still has issues. Tom is going to take it apart again and see what's up. It started rebooting over and over again after we thought we had the issue solved. This HP has a faster processor and more RAM memory than the Lenovo all-in-one. It was only $359, not bad at all for this particular machine. I went back to check on something about it later and the next one for sale was $20 higher. I just put my wireless keyboard and mouse with this one and I'm off and running.

I called them this morning. Yes, I did check the box to ship to the billing address, so they are going to notify the vendor. She said I should get an email about it, and to call back if I don't get a notice that they are sending another one, or refunding my money, within a couple days.
