The Evolution of Atlas: A Breeding (and Chat) Thread

Robin, no healthy hen just drops dead. There is always some underlying disorder, visible or not. Probably heart attack. So sad, though.

I'll keep an eye on your FB page, visiting under BF's name as I don't FB myself just surf on his.

Thank you, Mary. I deleted my account a long time ago, but I wanted to put my own quilts-and-chickens page up so put up a personal page, not taking friend requests, per se-I never really did that, not my purpose. Blue Roo Creations is defunct and Blue Roo Quilts belongs to me alone. My avatar on there? My current "blue roo", Bash, of course! I'd feel weird if I didn't have some blue chickens on my place. I so love that color in chickens.

I shall have to look you up.

Thanks, Lisa.

I don't know if I've mentioned it, but my neighbors are professional dog trainers. I've been spending a lot of time helping them in the Paw Palace at the Florida State Fair, especially this weekend. They gave me off today. I'll spend it getting caught up on things that need doing around here.
Lucky you, I love anything dog.

Thanks, Lisa.

That's cool that he's behaved enough to go to the Tractor supply without freaking out. Wonder what he thought of it all.

The six Atlas/MaryJo chicks are 3 weeks & 2 days old now. Definitely 4 pullets, 2 cockerels. Aren't they beautiful? The boys are such boys! LOL. All will be for sale soon as Maretta gives them up, probably in another 2-3 weeks. Girls can be layers, of course. It's up to the buyers what they do with the males. I hate to sell off the pullets without any males, though in this particular case, it may not be advisable to breed these together. But, it may have to be this way, selling the girls as layers and the males as whatever, not my decision. I'll just post a link to my dwarfism article and let them choose.
