While I have not seen bare minerals here at our Wal Marts, they may have it in your area. I tried Physicians Formula. It's not even close. Not worth the money.

I searched and I think the Bare Minerals is only at Walmart online, at least is not listed in the stores, but I swear I saw some in our local Walmart recently back in the department. Maybe they're just out right now. Ours is a small Walmart and it probably sold out fast.

I'm not sure why Bare Minerals is so much better. I am convinced that a lot of that is hype. I have not used Physicians Formula mineral powder, only the Airbrushing pressed powder. I just don't believe there is a lot of difference in products, not unless you get the truly off brand junk. But, then, I use Elf and Rimmel London, lesser cost products and they're just fine. But, overall, I am a complete skeptic when it comes to spending more money on something because of a brand name, no matter what it is.

Here is the search link: https://www.walmart.com/search/?query="Bare Minerals"

No stores near me show it available, only something called Bare Republic mineral makeup, no idea what that is, haven't noticed it in the store.

ETA: NVM, that Bare Republic is all sunscreen stuff. I hate their searches sometimes.

I just went back and looked at the prices for the Bare Minerals that they sell at Walmart online. Whoa. No way on earth I'd pay $18 for a blush or $22 for a makeup brush. I'm a homesteader/farm girl. I can't use my money that way. Even if I had it, I woudn't when there are less expensive things that work fine. It may be a fine product, but out of my price range entirely. My thrifty bone is aching just looking at that stuff, LOL.

ETA: But, Cheryl, besides products, don't you find that routine extremely complicated? I think it's just too involved and too expensive, considering the products she's using, the number of them, I mean. I don't know the cost of each because I've never heard of most of them.

What tone of foundation do you normally wear?

Do you have a beige skin tone, or more rosey?

medium skin tone, or light? I've seen your pictures, but it's very hard to tell exact skin tones from pictures.

No, my skin is very light, zero red/pink tones. Next to Tom's reddish skin, mine almost has a slightly yellow tone. I guess it's ivory. I can't use any beige foundations, too dark. I don't really burn, either; I tan a peachy color. I rarely wear a true foundation. In fact, I don't even have one now, just a BB or a CC cream in some natural color, definitely not anything medium, and a mineral type bronzer thing by Elf if I wear anything at all. It has all these little balls and a puff, but I use a brush, use it as blush and/or all over color. I don't care for actual foundation much. The CC cream I have is Olay Total Effects 7in1 light-to-medium that I got at Big Lots for super cheap. I'll never pay full price for that stuff, would not even have it if I hadn't found it at Big Lots or at one of the end sale displays at Walmart (which are still usually too pricey).
I have a BB cream 9-in-1 Matte Perfecting Cream from Rimmel London, but it's too thick, IMO, and actually a bit too dark, so I may mix the BB and the CC and add a little water to make a wash if I want anything at all. Both have sunscreen, which is one reason I wear it at all. Usually, I just wear the Elf bronzer thing in Natural, maybe powder. I may put on makeup for videos but not much if I won't see anyone during the day.

I rarely wear makeup. All my makeup fits in one ziplock sandwich baggie. And none of it is expensive stuff lol. Any I time I do put it on I feel like a clown because I’m not used to it.

Who has time, right? You sure don't!
