The Evolution of Atlas: A Breeding (and Chat) Thread

Well, today is the day that they get this divorce wrapped up per the judge's requirements or they don't. The evil wench in the UK doesn't have a computer tied to the internet where she is living and was having trouble doing anything on her phone or ipad. My son, though he ignored his father's advice and information about the forms and where to get them, apparently did it anyway and sent them over to her. Will they never learn that we aren't stupid?
The photos she has on FB show that she's dyed her hair dark brown (she's a redhead naturally), maybe to look younger. I wonder what his mother's real feelings are about her. Maybe she's just glad her son can get a girlfriend. I bet it's his first one, to be honest. He'll eventually come to his senses, or she'll get sick of him and move on to the next victim.

My son's FB post:
Gonna have to take a mental health day tomorrrow. Anxiety is kicking my butt today.

It's so cold today (no, Lisa and Mary, not by your standards). If the wind blows at all, no one goes out of the barn. They just hang around the aisle and poop in it so no need to even open the barn door and let all that cold air inside on those poor old arthritic ladies and Atlas, who can't make one step without flexing his leg.

Tomorrow is our 43rd anniversary and we're going to a slightly larger town 25 miles south and just bum around so they'll be locked up tomorrow, too, but it will be even colder than today. So far, no snow in the forecast, just some flurries a week or so out, but I feel so sorry for those chickens that Jamie Bailey has out in his yard in open pens, some with zero shelter over or around the fencing to cut the wind that whips through there. My birds are in a heavenly situation by contrast.

It's in the 20's today. Feels so warm out to me and my critters. :p

Happy Anniversary. :clap43 years is a long marriage. Ours is on the 12th and will 31 years. Time sure has been flying, most days. :)

Can we please slow it down?? Of course, I'm still young because I got married before I was born. :p

My son's soon-to-be-unattached-one did get all the papers in to the judge on time. Now, we wait for the verdict on the entire debacle. Apparently, she had to notarize something and in England, it's quite different. They put some sort of copper seal on it and it cost her $100, LOL. To quote her answer to everything, LMBO!

Fingers crossed that the judge will sign off on the divorce.

I can imagine having to talk to her put a damper on his attitude. I'm maintaining high hopes this will be done soon, and he can resume with his life. A divorce is mentally challenging, until it's actually over. Only after it's really over, can true healing begin.

Time for him to find out what it is to really be free and unattached. That is the one real stumbling block to him healing, that she is technically still his wife. I know that's how he felt.
I have a lovely headache tonight suddenly. My poor husband has had one for a week and we've decided it's probably due to a pinched nerve in his neck or upper back. His BP is actually much better since he got off two BP meds, go figure. They stopped those because he had what appeared to be an allergic reaction to them, twice. And his BP dropped. Yeah, too many meds reacting against each other, IMO. I hope he can get his stopped. Nothing has fixed it so far. He got out his TENS unit and tried that tonight before he went off to a meeting he goes to two Tuesdays each month.

My husband, knowing that our son is not nearly as proactive as he should be, contacted his sister, who works for a law office. She's calling one of the attorneys this morning to see if she can get the forms he needs, as a backup. Leave it up to Michael to fumble this one, especially when he has to work all weekend and the other person is overseas and all wrapped up in LaLa Land.
Why do men tend to be so bad at being proactive. I don’t get it.

I think his year in Ireland, then going back to S.Korea, showed him the pitfalls of Korea in general and the sharp contrast in their way of life. It is very anti-American, overall, especially the folks his age and older. Plus, though they pay very well, it's a super expensive place to live. And I couldn't live where they are processing dogs for food and hear the yelping. <<<shudder>>>
Wow, they really do that.

Hmm, she doesn't seem to have problems posting pictures online. Just sayin'.

Happy anniversary to you and Tom! :love

Sorry about the headache :(
