Does he plan to live near you? I'm sure that's gonna be a bit of a culture shock.

I doubt it. I live in a place where there is not a lot of employment for someone teaching English as a second language. Anything is possible, but I think he's just tired of Korea's culture. Once you're out of your twenties, it is very difficult to stay employed. They don't think you can be his age (40) and have a boss younger than you are, but most bosses are younger.

Finally in the process of getting my new kitchen cabinets installed. I got a few before and after pics but the new ones are not done yet. Need the island and countertops.

Definitely wow. New cabinets are always exciting and only happen once in a lifetime for some of us.

LOL. Dark blue cabinets. I watch too much HGTV! Oldhen, I'm 60 and this is the first time I've ordered cabinets!
This guy that installed them, I asked him if he could rescreen our patio, it's altogether about 60 ft by 5 ft of screen. He had to look up what to charge and came up with $1800. I think he is mistaken because a roll of screen at Lowe's cost 50-100 bucks. So I'll just ask him about $ for labor. I think he said $250. Big difference.

As for my little feathered friends, the newbies are laying. The 4 Houdans want to be carried around all the time. The 3 BR's, well it was first "don't touch me", then , "okay just pet on the back", now it's like "okay you can hold me for about 10 seconds". Lots of fun. I try to hold my old old girl for a bit every day. I think it's her only "known" contact and she happily takes a nap at that time.

So what are you all up to? Anyone getting ready for the winter? I finally got these 2 barn doors built and up. I need to work on her own door so I have something to close when it's cold.

I hope this winter is better than last year. Anyone got snow yet?

We have been winterizing here too. It has turned colder earlier than average. Hard to say if it's here to stay or if we will get a few more days above 30-40's here. I'm happy to be done gardening, but miss eating my fresh produce.

seminole, nothing wrong with HGTV, or learning how to update the look of things, when you do a major improvement, like new kitchen cabinets.
