Great hearing actual news from another country! It seems they're taking the appropriate precautions, and employers are being considerate of their employees.

The first time I saw a video clip of them fogging to disinfect, was in China. I said then, it was probably activated Oxine AH. Of course, a bunch of idiots that saw the news clip, and were aghast, commenting that China was gassing their people. The only people in the clip, were the ones wearing protective gear, and doing the fogging. No unprotected civilians were present. The idiots seemed to have the impression it was like the Nazi gas chambers at the gulags. Stupidity abounds.

They're trying over there!

Oh, yesterday, I attached binding to one side of my very large quilt I'm making and had planned to finish it up today, but this is what I did all day instead:

I unloaded 21 twenty pound bags of soil amendment for our garden boxes, from SUV into the big Rubbermaid lawn cart, four or five at a time because, well, they're dang heavy and I did not want to break the tire axles. Trip across the yard to the garden, unload a few into each box, back to the SUV to get the next load because my husband just can't do it right now, took down curtains in the kitchen to wash with a load of laundry, which required standing on a step ladder, folded that, ironed the curtains (which I made myself to match each other), rehung them, back to the barn to do chicken stuff, removed Wendy the Witch from beating up poor Jill while she was literally trying to expel an egg and could only duck her head to the assault. She was bleeding, too, poor Jill. Mean Wendy may find herself back with Atlas, who tidily removed her entire comb one day since he does not like her any more than Hector does. Later, opened all those bags, dumped them into the garden boxes, raked them smooth, filled a large tub in which I will be growing potatoes since mice eat ours when we grow them in the ground. Anyway, all that is to say why I did not get to the final binding attachment. Oh, my back and my knees are killing me! Tomorrow, the quilt may sit idle as well, if I am as sore as I think I will be.

Wow! You had a busy, and physically strenuous day. I suspect you will enjoy sitting, and quilting tomorrow. Maybe just sitting, depending on how your back feels.

First case of Covid-19 in Hillsborough County Florida, and it's in the next town over from me.

Even the news is showing clips of empty shelves, and saying there is a shortage of hand sanitizer, disinfectant wipes, disinfectant sprays, etc.

Wow! You had a busy, and physically strenuous day. I suspect you will enjoy sitting, and quilting tomorrow. Maybe just sitting, depending on how your back feels.

Ha, doing a big quilt like this is work, baby! Hauling it through the machine is hard on neck, back, shoulders, etc, though I'm just straight stitching binding today so a bit easier than actual free motion quilting. No relaxing unless I'm hand quilting and no way I would ever do that on a quilt this size again! This one ended up being 85x102. She's going to be sold and gone soon. I have to applique one of my labels on fabric, then hand stitch that after the binding.

There is now a joke about the drug dealers in our county had a meeting, and stopped selling drugs. They are now selling hand sanitizer, and face masks. There's more money in it.

My son's plane leaves in less than 3 hours. They're suddenly saying if anyone has a temp over 99.5*, they will not be allowed to fly into the U.S, but he's a U.S. citizen returning home so not sure they can detain him in any way. He isn't sick, he says, and he hopes to be okay at boarding time. If he takes aspirin, that should keep him from even having a smidgen of a temp, if it was beginning to rise at all. We all know temps can vary a tiny bit and not necessarily indicate illness, so fingers crossed.
I finished my quilt, FINALLY. Now, just have to attach my label and she's ready for a new home. So happy to have that done now.
