The house the girls grew up in, the plumber put in a 45 degree angle at the back of the house. Where, and the way he put it in, guaranteed that it had to be snaked at least once a year. It wasn't difficult to snake, but it was a pain in the tail feathers, and always happened at the most inconvenient times.

Tom thinks the angle from the house to the tank is wrong, but we never had any issues until recently. We've put expired yeast down the tank on occasion when we didn't have any Rid-X, but I just didn't know what the cat food was for, never heard of that. We have always used 1-ply toilet paper after my years as a realtor and having clients deal with septic issues, attending septic inspections, etc, and having already replaced an entire septic field at a house in the 90's. Now, it costs twice what it did then.

There is an access port just outside the basement walls, yes.

My son has the contract to teach at Lilburn Middle School and just today was accepted for his new apartment, a large one bedroom, almost 900 sf. He's very excited today. He's coming up here this weekend to get his glass end tables and a few other items he left in my basement.

Tom said he may want to just close off the drains in the basement bathroom, essentially becoming a one bathroom house. It's possible to do, but on occasion, a bit inconvenient. We could do that, I suppose, just hate to do it.

Well, it's a good temporary solution, until you have enough to get it dealt with properly.

Blech! We got a package of boneless, skinless chicken breasts, same as always. Tom used one breast to make some baked chicken nuggets and they were like rubber. I couldn't eat them. If I bite into meat of any kind and it pulls back, I spit it out. Gross. WTH is up with that? It was definitely substandard.

Chris found out that since he's a Gwinnett County teacher, he gets $100 off his rent for the first four months plus half of his deposit back. This is the apt the agent videotaped for him. I think he said the rent is $1050 so his will be $950 for four months. 888 sf is a big apt, only 200 sf smaller than my house (minus our basement area, of course).

Well Cyn it's not so bad. It will be capped so if you need to change your mind , there it is!
I'm glad your son is getting his life on track and upward.

My BFF for a very long time (38 yrs) her husband was a gym teacher forever! Well so long he was on a pretty high salary for all those years (NY). His pension was /is enormous . I never asked what is was (rude!) but being a best friend and always around, they did buy a $38,000 boat afterwards. It was an older boat but had a living room and sliding glass doors, LOL

I guess she will always be a BF from the past but I kindof broke it off because she was very verbal about her Political party -was way above mine- in intelligence!!! She said she paid for her news so it was better. (I never said I read German news at times to get a bit more expective (SP) to how we are seen in the world. But I never said a thing, ever. I don't argue with those on opposite sides . With all my friends I just dont' care to see what their views are. I will not even want to have a conversation about any of it. Ever. I open up with my parents and sister. So we rant together on the same side. That's all. Sorry so long but gee I have sooo much time on my hands.

I may even give home aid coleslaw with vinegar and oil. And maybe a cabbage casserole. I haven't had cabbage in years! I got seeds too!

Boneless thighs are just one of 2 or my favorites! I personally have a habit of pounding ANY meat. It breaks the protein (SP) and you end up with beyond tender. Give that a try. The other thing that's good if take the salt in your recipe and rub that on your meat first for maybe 10 minutes (not extra salt) then the rest of the seasonings. That also seems to tenderize chicken.

I am a pretty simple eater. I personally just use salt and pepper and sometimes garlic to flavor things. Not a zillion different spices most times.

That's great! If someone bought little chicks from me and had a drive to take, I'd put in the hand warmers for them, too. Works like a charm!

My septic issue is not fully resolved, apparently. Stuff came up into the shower pan in the basement. And we don't even use that bathroom down there, only rarely. I'm afraid that the 26 yr old field is in need of replacing and that's another $3K, I bet. There goes the stimulus check.

It just was and one of the inlets replaced with a proper one to the tune of $3000.
