The Evolution of Atlas: A Breeding (and Chat) Thread

Now that the chick is eating, and drinking, the rest of the hens are using their own water buckets, and feeders. Only mama, and chick are using the small ones now. This saves me having to go refill them every couple of hours. A few of the hens are still sleeping around mama and chick at night, but most have now returned to the roost. The rooster is roosting on the spot closest to mama, and baby.

Where, and with who are ongoing problems. You have 21 days to figure it out. I'm confident you'll get it sorted before hatch day.

Well, since they've been separated after Jane was injured and Zara seemed under the weather (I've decided Zara was just not feeling good due to her oncoming molt), I tried to put them back together on range and Jill wants to fight everyone. She and Zara and she and Athena were going at it in the air, feet flying. Hector doesn't usually break it up unless he himself is put out by the drama. Tom hates fighting birds and wont let them work it out. He wants them back in their separate areas immediately. They learned to form an uneasy truce once and I feel they can do it again.
That said, Hector hates Wendy and Athena hates Hector. So, it's never easy to give Hector more than his usual two hens, always the drama.

A friend of mine passed this on to me, here you go Cyn a much-needed laugh
