I go into my hatcher to refill or what ever needs doing if no external pips. I try to get in and out quickly if I do have external pips. I find I have chicks get stuck if they take too long to zip. Then I assist after 16 hours if I'm impatient, and 24 hours sometimes. To assist and remove them too soon could mean death, so patience is key here. THe chick needs to finish absorbing the blood in the network of veins thru out the inner membrane.

I have a pip! One out of the 4 showgirls..whew, may get at least one! I only had three Welsummers hatch.These showgirls are due tomorrow, but maybe they will all come by tonight. Or not.
