My first thought when the dragon pointed me out was How did she see me? then Aw goblins! Then I saw Tayla squinting at me. Then, comprehension dawned. I was almost invisible! I stepped out of the shadows and walked over to Tayla. Rhylie looked furious! The dragon with the blue star scales said in a huge voice: "Come here, little one. You will have one of my companions for your Guardian." I was shocked and thrilled at the same time. "Wh-What?" I asked. "Who--"
I was cut off by the dragon. "Don't speak." Then, in a voice bigger than any other, she said: "Faaiza of Evera, your Guardian is here!" And with that a shadow like a falling leaf fell from the sky and took the shape of a black dragon with amber stars for scales. In a voice like rumbling thunder the dragon said: 'I am your Guardian, Faaiza. I am Alvarez."
