The fireworks are driving me NUTS!!!

Two houses down they're letting illegal ones off and my goats are going NUTS. I went out there to check on them and they ran up to me, then they let off a huge one and my goats took off. They're still out there freaking out. Im sick of fireworks and stupid people.

Spent the night with my golden retriever hiding under the sheets trembling. Luckily it didn't last past midnight as far as I could tell.

I feel for you. I used to have a little dog that just went ballistic when it started.

I live in the country now and literally heard and saw nothing.

We have a campground about 1/2 mile away that always has a display .They do try and keep it contained , shoot them over a lake and keep it to just the campground shooting anything off. My problem is a DH who is a Nam vet and has PTSD. Lots of handholding and comforting.

The noise upsets the animals but they survive.....my concern was potential fires.

ETA: Around here there will be fireworks for weeks due to the large store selling them year round.

We've had them every night since Thursday. My poor dog. We'll get fireworks tonight too. I used to like them, but since having my own animals and seeing how they get terrified.....not so much anymore.

And because I live near the shore area, every Thursday night is fireworks night ALL SUMMER LONG.

Fireworks are illegal here, but it still doesn't stop people. I have always been in awe and a little fear of them. I like professional displays but I can't stand when yahoos just set them off like crazy!!

I just don't understand why people can't go to the professional displays if they want to see them, you know? Instead, a bunch of drunk idiots are shooting them into trees. Also, I found a bunch of firecrackers in my yard which means some jerk was lighting them and throwing them onto my property when I wasn't home

That REALLY ticks me off. My poor animals
