THE FIRST EGG MY CHICKENS LAID

Pics
Whoooo hoooooooo
Gina, how old is your EE that just started laying? Is she a bantam. Or large breed?
Robin, she was twenty two weeks. The other three started at twenty weeks, but not consistently. We havent had another blue one yet. There are thirteen and five are the slower to develop brahmas. We have several pairs of the same type but both are not laying. Each is individual in their development it seems. Thus is quite a learning experience. So far no one has crowed and none look like roosters. Some do the go to the ground bow, others dont yet. All are about the same age. Brahmas ive read are slower to sex, but comb size all look the same and wattles are just turning red. One barred is questionable but at twenty three weeks no crowing and it cackles like a girl. Do roosters do that?

Yea, when roosters are trying to take care of their hens they make a cluck like sound to show their hens food
