The first egg!

I walked up to the coop just a few minutes ago to check on my chickens. Everything was fine and they were all outside. When I went inside the coop I noticed an egg on the ground that looked like a fake egg. I had put 3 fake eggs in our three nesting boxes, because none of our chickens had laid yet, and they didn't know where to lay. I looked over that egg thinking it was a fake they had moved, and checked the nesting boxes for any eggs and noticed that there was three eggs in the nesting boxes(all fake ones) and one on the ground. I picked up the one on the ground and it felt like a real egg! It was! I am so excited! I cant wait to eat it! Here it is...

The white egg is a store bought egg.

:cd Thats about the same size egg my GLW laid Saturday....the very first egg. She did not lay Sunday but did Monday and today......And the other 3, same age are still not doing a thing....
