~The Forests of Avalon, A Dragon Roleplay~

Henry and Charlotte shared a few words, their voices distinctively different. Henry's was much deeper and louder, while Charlotte's was soft, gentle and higher pitched. Henry dropped a pile of herbs at Charlotte's feet and she wrapped them carefully in a leaf to protect them. "Is that it?"

Henry nodded "Theres one more by the Maple I think, but Ruth grabbed the rest."

"Okay, I'll grab the then. Meet you make in Pelendava?" She raised her head, the soft scales covering her body rippling freely as she moved. Unlike a warrior, her scales were not hard and thick, they were much thinner and provided less protection but allowed her to move more freely without as much effort.

"I'll wait." He offered "You never know what lurks in the forest after dark."

"Suit yourself." Her thin wings, not so different then Christina's, billowed in the light breeze as she stretched them. For a moment colored, spidery veins could be seen through the thin membrane stretching across the bones as she dying sun shone through. She turned away from Henry and tucked her wings back against her sides as she headed into the forest, hiding the veins once more from view. Her movements were smooth and graceful, and her scales were almost translucent, like you could see through them and into her body. The slight pulse of a vein, the rippling or twitch of a muscle etc. Not even Christina looked so... delicate, or fragile. In comparison, the servent seemed very rough looking.

Jester landed quickly, his heavy weight causing him to drop like a rock when his wings were no longer providing lift. He slowed himself at the last minute, but still landed rather hard with his feet planted on either side of her, trapping her in between them. He straightened up and extended his wings halfway, peering down at her with an amused expression. "Thats some pretty foul language for such an innocent dragoness." He said mockingly, with a sly grin.

I'll wait, bleh blah blah ble blahh, Silvanus's face twisted as he silently mimicked Henry.
He was disgusted, he had come this way just to have a little fun and this lout had to go play protector, today of all days.
There was a 50/50 he could take him, depending on how the dragoness would react. Surprise was on his side, sort of....
He guessed Henry had a mate, or young ones, something to watch over. He was too wary not to, the old biddy. He could take a younger dragon, by wits and speed. They always tended to be on the cocky side, easily overestimating his size and generally shocked by his brilliant coloring. Apparently most dragons perceived colorful scales as a weakness; weaker armor, less skill, not the coat of a warrior.
Neanderthals.
He rolled his eyes as he recounted past encounters.

This was all a game of dice, and he had the first roll. Not that it really meant much at this point.
He decided at that moment he needed an apprentice, another die in his favor. Someone young... A little one who's mind was still mush.... If he could find an egg, no no, better, a new-hatch. Perfect! He wouldn't have to deal with the hassle of caring for an egg. But that of course still left the main problem; where would he find one? Firstly it couldn't just be any run of the mill serpent. Blah, if he was going to invest his time into one of these creatures, it had better well be worth it. ----

Oh yeah... You two. He had let his mind wander for only a moment, but anything could happen in a moment. Thankfully, it didn't.
He frowned. Such a tempting scene. He made a mental note of the dragoness, he would have to find her again. And Henry too, although by then he would not be alone. Henry would pay for ruining his dayplans. He had, however, given Silv an ingenious idea. Maybe he wouldn't drag out his suffering as long....

"Oh you big !^@$#*!^!%. What are you doing here!? Do you realize how close we are to the capital, there are patrols!!!" She spat, smacking the tip of his nose and glaring at him, "You are going to get yourself killed, killed killed. Not chased out. They will rip out your heart and stick it on something pointy or something. And you know what!? I am this close helping them!!"

Charlotte was only gone for a few minutes when she returned again, carrying a similar leaf wrap between her teeth. Henry had already picked up the others, and was waiting anxiously for her to return. When she did, his relief was clearly visible. His scales prickled as he sensed someone watching them closely, had hadn't picked up a strange scent or heard anything, but something just didn't feel right. To make matters worse, Amaria had gone back to with Ruth. The learner was acting as their protecter in the fields for the afternoon as part of her training. Although he disliked having his daughter as their protecter as he felt it should be the other way around, he had to admit it felt better having her around. His training was many, many years ago. He let Charlotte take off in front of him, her delicate wings catching the breeze quickly and carrying her light frame up quickly. Following behind, it took him longer to climb as he was much heavier.

Jester chuckled through his nose, not loudly but the kind that made his body vibrate. He looked down at her with his icy blue eyes. Instead of being cold and distant as they usually were, they were warmer and amused now. Frill always seem to bring out the nice side of him. "You are right, dear Frill, as you most often are. However." He paused, his amused gaze suddenly turning a shade darker. He pushed himself abruptly back off of her, drawing back a few steps away from her to look at her better. "If I am to be caught and killed, it will be at the hands of my own people. Not your friends in Pelendava." He spat the name of the city who had exiled him. "And since you so kindly asked, I came to see you of course. My lady in waiting."

Raven was taken Aback by the Dragoness's knowing of her Name, but kept her head bowed. Then she looked up slightly "Your Majesty, I would Like to Become a Learner, so I could serve this City as a Warrior," she said with Respect.
Camilla strode over, her footsteps making almost no sound on the stone floor. "Raven, call me Camilla." She said, settling closer to the younger dragon. "I heard your conversation with Amatis outside the door, but do you think you have what it takes? A warriors life is hard, it is not for those who want to play the hero game, or get revenge."

"I can provide you with a mentor, but I cannot guarentee you will become a warrior. The path which you must take is a hard one, and not all will make it."

Silv's eyes flickered between the both of them; feet rushing forward, a lion ready to pounce.
But he stopped again, several dozen feet behind, concealing himself the best he could. Henry was now his target, he had put himself in a very vulnerable position. Silv was behind and to the left, Henry's wings were raised and sides exposed; his jaws faced the sky and his feet were burdened with the task of thrusting his large body into the air... Ever the predator, he couldn't let such an opportunity slide.
He exploded from the underbrush, heart pounding and powerful legs pumping hard.
His sights were set, first thought to disable the beast; and keeping low to the ground, he made a mad grab for the soft pit of Henry wing.

She continued to glare at him, pushing herself up and readying her claws to take another whack at his nose.
"I believe I feel an 'I told you so' coming. Wrong crowd." Frill snorted, although her tone softened a bit, "What'd you do now? Tell me didn't kill some dragon over there."
Her stern glare faltered, and she turned in a half circle as she regained her earlier attitude."We gotta get out of this area, we can talk elsewhere. If the guard catches us, I'll be in quite a bit of trouble, you'll probably be dinner."
