The Front Porch Swing

It's been a few years since we've had that much snow and it's not even winter yet. I'm really not looking forward to what winter is going to bring.

I worry here that it is both cold and dry. We are not getting rain at all.

The preditors are cold and thirsty and going nuts.we should have had 3-4 really good storms by now and the hills should be green. We have nothing.

I guess we need to get used to the weather swings :((

I will wish you some melting and no ice storms madam.

Morning peeps!! Looks like we will be picking up coop #10 this weekend. I had planned to buy a GQF brooder for my basement but I think I like this route better. It's pretty big at 6x8 since it will make a nice chick brooder and the base is penned in for the chicks to run around in safety when they are older.

If it means I won't be raising chicks in the house in the Spring, I'm all for it. The chickens are paying for it anyway.

3? that's all? I have sold birds and have 3 coops opened for the orps I have....just got done talking to a lady in Florida getting rid of most her Orp flock that includes creles, partridge, reds and whites, i was able to get them, just have to get to Florida...and now I need more coops...ugh! lol...3 isnt enough!
