The Front Porch Swing

What a strong young man, holding that big post so nice and straight!  I'd like to borrow him this summer when I tweak my coop!!

He's a very good little worker (when he wants to be) and very handsome. He takes after his daddy

. He was a big help for about half the day, then he was having a hard time and we came in. The end of the day he had four of his little buddies over to play a few hours and pizza for dinner, so he was happy. If he lived closer, I'm sure he would be happy to help with the coop.

Deb, wasn't it you who posted awhile back about your friend who wrote that book about a cat and had it self published on Amazon? I can't find the page that had the link! I want to buy it for my niece for her birthday! I thought I saved it on my Amazon accounts "wish list", but today when I went to order it, it's not there! Ahhh! Please please could I get the name of the book again! When I read about it on amazon, it just sounded so perfect for her.
I know it's been months! Everytime I think about it and am going to buy it, something seems to come up and then when I have the money again, I forget.

I hate putting anything on a credit card! But I have money saved just for her birthday.

Yep! You see Blooie, some people only read really long novels and some people like shorts.
I'm thinking Erma Bombeck. I have no doubt you could write any number of "collections".

@blooie
Yes, I was thinking of Erma Bombeck too. So many short stories/observations about everyday life. Some made you laugh outloud and some brought a tear to your eye. I continue to pull her books out of the library and re-read them. You could do that Blooie. Listen to your friends on BYC. Some day we could be borrowing your books from the library AND with this group of people behind you, your first set of books will be sold out as soon as they come off the presses!
