The Front Porch Swing

I should give it another shot...I haven't had it often, I just love rosemary so much I tend to stick to what I know.

Our kids are 9, 7, 5, 4, and 1.  We homeschool.  Free time would be lovely! I'm so behind on my very long list of to-do's!

My apple tree is still little...I was hoping for a couple blossoms this year...but none yet.

What's everyone having for dinner?  I think I'm making orange chicken.

I'll probably be making a big pot of spaghetti. I have to feed three big guys and they can polish off a normal family sized dinner in minutes. And my sister will eat about a pound of it herself despite her 120 lb frame. That girl can pack it in!

Poor Poor child left with three angry old women on Mothersday... Bwhahahaha.

I am the cook in the family... and the taxi driver and sometimes schedule keeper... for those who often forget... The grandmas that is.

Sometimes I just want to run away from home.... but that wouldnt be fair to my son.

I just bought a couple of corned beef packages at the grocery store. Close to expiration date so they were 99 cents a pound. The label says Freeze/cook by this month. i am going to cook one this week sometime.

Hey there! Room for me on the swing?  First time seeing this thread, and though I would join in. :)

Cat's...I found a really sweet black and white kitten with a mustache that I want, but hubby is allergic.  We kept our other cat outside for the most part, but he would sleep in the house at night...he was potty trained just like a dog...stopped using the litter box in the house when he was like 6 months old.  It was awesome.  Hubby and I are not really cat people, but I do think they are adorable, and good for keeping mice and such at bay, and I love a good cuddly kitty...I've just had bad experiences with psycho indoor cats. lol  Hubby said no to mustache kitty for right now sadly...I think if we had a barn he would have ok'd it.

Our first chick hatched!  I'm wondering if anymore will though since that was day 19, and 5:00am today was day 21. :( I hope a few more do.

I made a trade with someone local for working with her on her farm, and in exchange I get two alpaca's! So I'm excited about that.  Lots of work to do around here before we can get them though.  I love to trade...unfortunately I don't yet have much of value. :p

I don't care for sage either...or thyme...I really want to try lamb though to see if we like it.

Ah...and with that...my coffee is cold, and my children are beginning to wake up for the day.  I have LOTS to do...so I am off and running! Maybe see you on the swing this evening. ;)
Well, lamb is excellent with just garlic and rosemary. salt and pepper. I have this "Greek seasoning" in a small round yellow box with red white and black in the picture and lettering. It is excellent in place of salt. I still add my own cracked pepper.

Oh, forgive me all to pieces!! WELCOME!! There is definitely room on the porch swing or pull up a stump or a 5 gal. Pail... But Blooie says not to use the one with the yellow police tape on it!? Something about a poor turtle...

So have DIY network on the TV while I work. I heard them say "we need to learn everything there is about chickens". They were at a chicken farm, and they said it with a straight face. They were building a chicken coop in a back yard they were renovating. Coop didn't look bad but not even close to predator proof and the wire they used won't keep the chicks they bought in! When I think about how long I researched here before I brought home my chicks I thought it was a smidge misleading. Nice seeing folks interested in chickens!

SLURP, YUM!! I LOVE Corned Beef!

I love corned beef! Unfortunately, like many things, I'm the only one in the house who does. Still have started dinner...gonna be a late dinner tonight because in headed out to work on a rabbit hutch. We didn't celebrate Mother's Day really...also as usual...I bought myself an apple tree and wasted the whole day sitting around doing nothing since I couldn't get motivated with everyone else in the house doing the same thing...then we had hot dogs for dinner. :/ guess this makes me the resident whined now.

Still no action with the eggs...come on chickens!!!! Got the temp back up...hopefully that will help.

Alright, finished another cuppa...and grabbed a handful of crackers...so I'm off...maybe I'll be back later with my guitar (that I barely know 3 chords on! Lol) or my knitting I've barely had a chance to touch. Is it wrong to knit tiny clothes to take pictures of chicks in??? Lol idk, but it sure sounds fun!

I've been the worst with dinner planning lately. My 3 year old is very difficult.. he's autistic and has sensory issues and just plain forgets he likes certain foods

We now have him kiss his food. Doesn't have to eat it, but he has to kiss it. Afterward he will lick his lips and realize it's something tasty (or not) and have a bite. Add to that his dietary restrictions and I've not been cooking much. End up just having sandwiches or something

The only meal everyone will eat is potatoes and chicken nuggets.. How many times a week can a person eat those?

Maybe I'll make pasta.. 3 year old wont eat it, but then again, he wont eat most things. The baby is a piggy.. she can put some food away! The 7 year old is getting pretty good at trying things, even if he may not like them. Guess it just comes down to what do I feel like eating?

Got a lot of lettuce in the garden.. so maybe a big salad and pasta.
