The Front Porch Swing

TExasLisa, so sorry about your flock! What a terrible thing to come home to.

Bruce, hope you are well soon. you may have to give up smelling chicken breath for a while. Speedy recovery!

Lindz - what a wonderful day! those kidos look like they had fun. nice work on the coop. thanks for sharing with us.

Perchie.girl - some days I really miss having short hair. It fits so much nicer under a hat and a helmet. When we get our windy days, and my hair is blowing in my eyes and I can't see what I am doing - I have told DH a couple of times to hide the scissors or the hair was going to get cut off! he likes it long.

Bee - I did say a prayer for you.

Zinia8 - a big Happy 80th Birthday to your Dad! Hope it was a great day!

TW - glad you haven't lost power yet, and hope it doesn't happen. Have a safe night!

to anybody I missed, have a wonderful night! you are all in my prayers.

Heres a little something to warm you! When I went to get the camera, my cat was laying in front of the fire staring at the flames, but he jumped up and ran off when I turned on the camera.

yes I sure hope you haven't lost power TW. Be safe and warm you guys!!!

I am going to line my goat shelter with pallets in order to "goat proof" it.

Whoo, just made it through 2073 posts, haha! I hope you don't if I join everybody on the porch.

I'm still a bit green when it comes to chicken keeping and reading through this thread sure has gotten me motivated to get crackin' on some my side projects. Already I've sketched out plans for my garden and I've started fermenting layer feed, haha! This year is already turning out to be a good one for the flock and I'm sure it's God's blessing that is making everything so wonderful. :)

minus 4 here. this winter is the first time I have ever had to make sure my hands are completely dry before touching an outside door knob to our home. reminds me of the movie where the kid sticks his tongue to the flag pole.
