Good night everyone!
James the II.....he was a character!Okay now I can't go to bed out of curiosity. Why 1445? What's the fascination with that year in Scottish history?

Gonna pursue this in the morning. Can't even put a face to James 2, shame on me.
@Bee... I have a Little Giant incubator. I don't know why it has been so hard to regulate. One thing that doesn't help is it has a little post for a knob to adjust it. I super glued a plastic ammonia bottle top to that little post to make it a tad easier to adjust. It you turn it just a tiny bit either way it goes too far. Once I get it to where I think it is adjusted correctly I DON'T TOUCH the knob. If it gets out of whack with the eggs in it I adjust the temp by propping the windows open. Right now it is doing alright. I just hope it hasn't messed the eggs up so far. BUT I really can't complain, a buddy sold me this incubator cheap cheap.![]()
Oh, have a wonderful time! You know you're both in my prayers!Evening folksJust wanted to drop by the Porch and say hello. I've been following everyday but just hiding out over here in the corner and taking it all in![]()

Just wanted to let ya'll know that myself and the other half are going away for a week tomorrow to Cuba for vacation. I'll be checking in periodically so I don't get to far behind on the Porch gossipCan ya'll say a prayer for our safe travels and that The Lord will watch over and protect us during transit, stay and return ? God Bless ya'll![]()

And, if I ever decide to incubate eggs, this is what I'll be doing too. Oh, wait - if I ever decide to incubate eggs remind me of my voyage so far, will ya? Maybe the urge will pass then.I was just reading the other day how to regulate temps better in the LGs....let me try and look that up.......naw...can't find it now. Anyhoo, it was something about placing glass rocks like the ones you put in aquariums in the bottom of the incubator to keep temps more regulated.
While I was searching for that I came across this pic here on BYC...would you LOOK at the complicated incubator this person is using???
And this is why I am using....THIS......where the temps rarely fluctuate and I'm not measuring humidity at all. And I don't have to have an engineering degree to put it all together....
